dc.description.abstract | Plant tissue culture favors the growth of a new plant out of its natural environment. This technique has been used for massive and fast plant multiplication. The aim of this study was to compare the development of an orchid species under different concentrations of auxins as growth regulators. The plant material consisted of Cyrtopodium saintlegerianum seedlings subjected to seven treatments of naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and indole butyric acid (IBA) at concentrations of 0, 1.0, 2.0, and 4.0 mg.L-1, respectively. After 60 days were evaluated the number of leaves, roots and shoots; roots length and plant height. The results indicate that the addition of plant growth regulators (auxins) to the culture medium had specific effect on each variable collected by acting differentially on organogenesis. The best results suggest that moderate auxin concentrations increase the number of roots and shoots. | pt_BR |
| pt_BR |
