Resumo
The objective of the study was to evaluate the socio-spatial transformations in two municipalities, Rondônia State, southern Brazilian Amazon. Thus, we used indirect methods of landscape analysis, including products generated from sensor MODIS, in the TERRA and AQUA satellites. Deforestation data were obtained from the results of deforestation monitoring project in the Brazilian Amazon by means of Satellite (PRODES) and a human pressure model. The results showed that deforestation occur mainly in the northern part, especially in Nova Mamore. In addition, it was observed that 82.62% of the deforested areas are located within 5 km from the highways of the study area. Consequently, it was observed that the special areas located in Nova Mamoré are subject to significant anthropogenic pressure levels, reaching moderate, as is the case Guajará-Mirim Park, in addition to part of the extractive reserve Jaci-Parana. In the case of the municipality of Guajará-Mirim, the extractive reserve of Rio Ouro Preto has portions at low and moderate anthropic pressure.
