Resumo

This article aims to analyze linguistic landscapes of the Goiânia-Goiás, emphasizing the semiotic features of commercial forefronts this urban space. Therefore, we based in Gorter (2016), Gorter and Shohamy (2009) and Blommaert (2013) studies, about the notions of linguistic landscape, and in the Ecolinguistic perspective of H. H. Couto (2011, 2017), Couto and Busnardo Filho (2017). The corpus consists of photographic records of commercial forefronts located in two different regions of the Goiânia’s city, one more central and one more peripheral. Observing the photographs, we perceive the materialization of superdiversified communicative repertoires, a plural linguistic landscape constituted by diverse resources. We also note that forefronts are located in more central neighborhoods tend to be more global and impersonal, while those located in peripheral neighborhoods tend to be more local and personal. Far from being monolingual environments as defend the ecolinguistics studies, the commercial forefronts reflects a big linguistic-cultural diversity that often characterizes urban spaces.
