Resumo

The capitalism, that operates through the lens of the coloniality processes, works towards the domination of the nature and all its constituents for the maintenance of this world economic system. The coloniality dominates and exploits bodies and their intersections. The main objective of this study is to reflect on how the bodies of deaf black people, located in the colonial-capital world, enunciate meanings, transforming the power relations embedded in their existence. For this purpose, we developed a bibliographic research, by selecting studies related to the topics of race, deafness, and linguistic rights. We highlighted the main results and hypotheses whereby we drawn our reflection through the framework of intersectionality. Our assumption is that the dominating economic system subordinates and oppresses black death people, imposing white non-disabled people’s views, thus maintaining the colonialist supremacy. This phenomenon is linked to the denial of the linguistic rights and the existence of the Braziliandeaf black population. These assumptions are supported by the explored literature which approaches the relationship between body (race and deafness) and the linguistic rights. From the selected studies, we also highlighted theoretical reflections on the confrontation between the structures culture/language/epistemology, race/color, gender/sexuality, class and other categories or identity systems. In the end, we perceived that the oppression and marginalization of these people's bodies are the result of confrontations coming from structural racism, created by coloniality and maintained by the globalized capitalism, thus reverberating the denial of linguistic rights and the existence of black deaf people.
