Concentração e formas de aplicação de niacina em rabanete

Resumo

Vitamins have the potential to increase the development of species of commercial interest. However, studies are rare and should be developed taking into account the species produced. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of the application forms of four concentrations of niacin on radish (Raphanus sativus) culture. The experiment was designed in a randomized blocks design, in a 2x4 factorial scheme, with five replications. The treatments consisted of the combination of two forms of application (on seed and drench in newly emerged seedlings) and four concentrations of niacin (0, 50, 100, 150 mL L-1). Each repetition consisted of a pot, containing four plants. These plants were evaluated for the relative index of chlorophyll, number of leaves and fresh mass of tuberous roots. Productivity and gross revenue were also estimated. The treatments did not statistically influence the number of leaves, the fresh mass of tuberous roots and the productivity. It was observed that, regardless of the concentration of niacin, the application of pre-sowing seed treatment increased the relative chlorophyll content and the highest gross revenue was obtained without the application of niacin, while increasing concentrations up to 150 mL L-1, resulted in economic losses.
