Resumo

The integrated crop-livestock-forestry (ILPF) system has been studied as an option that combines productivity and sustainable development, with a view to the responsible use of resources within agricultural systems. Soil quality is directly linked to the sustainability of a system and can be measured using its indicators. The use of biological indicators is constantly expanding due to their rapid response to changes in the soil, and their association with physical indicators makes this analysis more complete. However, there is still much to be studied about the effects of ILPF farming practices on soil quality. This study compares the soil of an ILPF system with the soil of a native cerrado forest, seeking to find similarities in its quality, using the following indicators: soil moisture, field capacity, basal respiration (BSR), carbon of the microbial biomass (C-BMS), nitrogen of the microbial biomass (N-BMS) and the metabolic quotient (qCO2). The experiment was carried out in the experimental area of the Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Morrinhos, located in the municipality of Morrinhos, GO. The samples were collected at depths of 0-10 cm and 10-20 cm, with four replicates for each treatment. Each repetition represents a composite sample from five sub-samples collected at ten metre intervals. Among the main findings were that the indicators showed similar average values, with little variability between the areas compared. Humidity and CC60%, N-BMS, qCO2 showed similar behaviour, with no significant difference between the averages. On the other hand, C-BMS showed a significant difference between ILPF compared to native forest and RBS showed very high variability within ILPF, indicating that this treatment also has an effect.
