Jardim labirinto de memórias e esperanças

Abstract

This research aims to understand how my memories, displacements, contact with Family members and the Netflix series Dark contributed to the creation of the fictional place Jardim Labirinto de Memórias e Esperanças, as well as the series of drawings and zines with the same name. It also seeks to propose ways of traveling in time from a Visual Arts perspective in dialogue with Physics, through drawings and autobiographical comics. Beind my research autobiographical, I realize its importance first for me, and then for the other and for the academy. Autobiography and memory in the academy in the Visual Arts open up new research possibilities that go beyond Eurocentric teaching on art, because if I talk about myself, I talk from the perspective of a Brazilian person from Goiás ando f Arab descente. Among the artistic references are the Netflix series Dark, the videoarts Frutos Estranhos (Bananeira) by Rosângela Rennó and The Reflecting Pool by Bill Viola, and some films, including animations. Some of the most important bibliographical references are A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, Memory and Family by Myriam Moraes Lins de Barros ande Unfinished Gesture by Cecília Almeida Salles.
