Resumo
Depression in old age is a necessary topic today, due to the increase in cases of depression and the increase in the elderly population in Brazil. With this, this article will, through bibliographic research carried out on the Portal de Periódico Capes and Scielo platforms, explore the factors that play a part in the experience of depression in old age from the perspective of Gestalt-therapy and the main resources and their implications in approach to patients, considering the subjectivity and history of the elderly in contemporary society
