Resumo

Tomatoes are between the main oleraceous cultivated and consumed in different areas of Brazil, presenting differences on the adopted practices that go from the production to the trading process. However, the importance of this field is crucial towards social and economic terms of the rural income creation and distribution. In that way, considering this field representativity, this paper identifies and analyses some of the nationally published papers about table tomato cultivation through a systematic review of the field literature, using the scholarly journal website “Scielo” in order to research publications from 2011 to 2020. During and after the inclusive and exclusive criteria input fourteen studies were selected, those which in the majority presented experimental researches related to the enhancement of production elements, aiming the efficient use of resources, higher productivity, guidance regarding the best material for different production systems, all those among other variables that help the planters in their rural activities. Although, it was observed on the used platform during the analyzed period, the need for studies that include market aspects, related to this fields, that add to its economic-financial development.
