Resumo
About boys and men is the first book of tales published by Antonio de Padua in 2006. A book that is part of a broad fictional production that encompasses at its core the homoerotic relationships experienced by its characters in adverse contexts. The book is structured in three parts: "On some things of boys and men", "Theory of schemata (of men)" and "Taking up schematics, boys and men". It is important to highlight the fact that in all of the short stories, there are several issues related to gay subjectivity, such as the constant search for the object of desire, affective and sexual need, loneliness, the erring of the subject, relationships Rarefied rituals and sexual initiation rites, among other recurring themes. In this paper, we chose as corpus of analysis the "Passion to the extreme" tale, inserted in the first part of the book, from a perspective between literature and homoeroticism, based on the theoretical discussions of the studies of Didier Eribon (2008), Eliane Robert Moraes (2003), Georges Bataille (1987), Judith Butler (2010), Octávio Paz (1995, 2014) and Zygmunt Bauman (2004), relating them to the pedestrian enunciation of the protagonist, based on the assumptions of Michel de Certeau ).
