Resumo

The theme of this paper is the sensations and its relationship with thought and knowledge in the work of Condillac, a linguistic historiographical synthesis. He talked about the origins of innateness. According to Condillac, moving away from the innate ideas, science could established itself from rationality, which requires understanding and applying how thought works, i.e., always in a structure. This requires principles that are organized in a pyramid system: the general facts to the observed facts. Condillac separated feelings and senses: the senses would be the cause. He is obviously speaking of the human body organs. Sensations are psychic stimuli that capture the senses of nature and things. For him, there is no other way of acquiring knowledge, humans learn everything they know or could know through the sensations that thesenses convey the thought. There is no knowledge that does not proceed from the outside to the inside of the human being; so it is the social experiences that get all the information.
