Resumo
The present article is the result of a study on the evolution populacional ofthe municipal district and, specifically, ofthe Catalan city among the years f om 1970 to 1996. The article looks for to demonstrate as stamp geo-politicians' aspects they acted in the re-organization of the geographical space of Catalan's microrregião, as well as in the case of Catalan 's city, it generated the modification of the partner-space structure until then effective.
