Por que escrever em línguas de sinais?

Abstract

This paper aims at showing the importance of sign language writing (ELiS) as an accessible semiotic tool for the teachinglearning process of these languages. This is a bibliographical research, which aims at emphasizing the importance of writing as a means of communication, as well as its importance in the field of research involving teaching and transcription of data in sign languages. The results suggest that writing is an important tool for the process of language appropriation.
