Resumo
This research focuses a group of young individuals who are members of an Amerindian rap group
called Brô Mc's on the context of the Guarani Kaiowá people in Mato Grosso do Sul, specifically
in the Dourados Indigenous Reserve. Through their musical compositions, they denounce territorial
tensions, public neglect, and prejudices experienced by their people. Furthermore, in their creative
musical process, they articulate fundamental concepts such as the constitution of body/person, as
well as inseparable concepts associated with it, like "word" and "Nhandereko". Utilized in the
Guarani Kaiowá poetics, these categories, present in anthropological literature, blend with
structural aspects of the rap genre. The research was conducted through a survey and literature
review, examining music videos, news, and interviews about Brô Mc's. It seeks to answer the
following question: How does the Brô Mc's rap group, by merging the musical resources of hip-
hop culture with Kaiowá and Guarani poetics, become agents of new forms of knowledge
production and practices
