Por aqui o mar continua azul: uma história em quadrinhos como instrumento de conscientização do HIV

Abstract

This paper presents the development of an original comic book as a communication strategy that seeks to promote awareness and empathy regarding the diagnosis and living with HIV. It is a proposal for a graphic narrative that values mental health, a subject often neglected in materials about HIV, exploring psychological and social aspects of living with the virus from the perspective of a young HIV-positive adult. The methodology used for the comic strip was proposed by Rocha (2023), and ranges from research and data analysis to the definition of conceptual, visual, and narrative guidelines, structuring a project inserted in the precepts of Graphic Design and Social Design, proposing to broaden the dialogue about HIV, and contribute to a more inclusive and tolerant culture.
