Abstract

This work arises with the interest of raising the discussion about the spaces dominated by the cultural industry in contemporary times, with an attempt to understand how its social projection gradually changes from a vision focused on visual culture. So there is an interest in trying to understand a little better how much these cultural products widely disseminated by the hegemonic media, transform our relationship with Art, creativity and Identity, as well as discussions on cultural power relations. There is therefore interest in discussing more broadly what is the role of the cultural industry in the artistic formation of the subject and how this permeates our field of action as visual arts teachers, and how we can use this social understanding as a focus within formal environments of artistic education.
