Doses e parcelamento de niacina no desenvolvimento inicial de meloeiro Cantaloupe

Resumo

The use of vitamins in plant production has been focused for the supply of components or aiming biostimulant action. However, information about the use of these compounds is scarce, which justifies new studies demonstrating the effects on plants. The objective was to determine the optimal dose and proper parceling of the application of niacin to improve the biometric characteristics of Cantaloupe melon seedlings. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a 4x2 factorial scheme, with four replications. The treatments consisted of four doses of niacin (0; 25; 50; 75 mg L-1) and two levels of installment of the dose (every 8 days application of full dosage or split in half, every 4 days). 32 days after sowing were measured chlorophyll content, height, diameter at the neck, leaf number, mean leaf area, root length and dry weight of shoot and root. The application of niacin had a quadratic effect on the chlorophyll content of variable diameter at the neck, leaf number, root length and dry weight. Thus, for the conditions under which the study was developed, the application of niacin fertigation until the concentration 29.4 mg L-1, improves the initial development of melon Cantaloupe, regardless of the installment levels.
