Resumo

The performance in a transparent and organized way allows the producer, the agro-industry, the agents that are part of the agro-industrial systems to obtain better results in their ventures, favoring risk management, improving the quality of products and accessing new markets. Compliance programs have the potential to generate cooperative, transparent and healthy environments, which facilitates the construction, interpretation and adaptation of contracts to eventual unforeseen circumstances, reducing gaps, inefficient behavior and asymmetries. Initiatives by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply with the implementation of the “MAPA INTEGRO” Program, the “Agro + Integridade” Seal and the establishment of an obligation to include in the bidding documents and contracts the requirement for compliance programs of the contractors, signal that the The system, culture and transparency related to the implementation of Compliance in agribusiness will become essential for suppliers, producers, industries and traders to continue to operate in the national and international markets. The objective of this research was to conceptually present the application potential and the challenges for implementing compliance programs in the reference production chain. The research carried out is theoretical and academic in nature. The method employed consisted of literature review and document analysis.
