Abstract

This paper articulates the concepts of French Discourse Analysis and fashion and tries to address the issue: 'Is Discourse Analysis still fashionable?' The text is divided into two parts. First, since fashion may be taken as a theoretical construct, a reflection on its insertion in the DA field is undertaken. Second, the paper also investigates the discipline's existence and success within linguistic studies, which makes it fashionable nowadays.
