Resumo
To evaluate lhe effects ofphosphate rates and sources in a LV (red yellow latosol) and a LE ( dark red latosol)(Oxiso]s) under cerrado vegetation soybean was grown for three consecutive years wilh and wilhout liming. Tripie superphosphate (SFT), Yoorin thermophosphate (TFY), and Catalão apatite (AC), wilh 48.4, 17.6 and 37.8 (insoluble in citric acid 2%) % P,O,, respectively. Under SFT and TFY soybean yields in lhe limed treatments were found equivalent. Due to its basic reaction, TFY showed higher yields in bolh unlimed soils as compared to SFT. Soil acidity did not release phosphorus from AC along three years. The estimated Mitscherlich equation coefficients employed to predict soybeans yields as a function of applied phosphorus rates permit reliable interpretations only in lhe absence oflirniting factors, such as soil acidity.
