Chão de terreiro: proposta de um espaço cultural e sagrado de religiões de matriz afro-indígenas

Abstract

This academic work aims to explore and understand the dynamics of Brazilian Afro-indigenous religions, especially Jurema Sagrada, Candomblé and Umbanda, and how these relate to their spaces of worship, known as “terreiros” (religious centers). As a research method, articles, books, and theses on the subject were used, and because it is a topic based on oral tradition, on-site research was conducted in two terreiros research in two territories, one located in Brasília, the other in Águas Lindas de Goiás. In addition to the theoretical material, the document concludes with a proposal for intervention in a plot of land located in the central area of Brasília, a space that encompasses sacred spaces and the guidelines of a cultural space. Regarding the theoretical framework, the main authors who supported the research were João Batista Figueredo de Oliveira (2021), Luiz Antônio Simas (2024) and RUA - Revista de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade Federal da Bahia (2003).
