| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this article is to clarify the relations of two important categories for the construction of Electoral Geography. The Power category spans the institutional and social relations of the State and its organizations in the construction of the State and Territory, showing how intentionalities, signs and symbols of power interrelate to constitute their force in a given space, in the perspective of forming constituencies. In this way we dialogue with important authors who deal with the theme, such as Dahl (2012), Arenth (1985), Foucault (1979), Raffestin (1993) and Souza (2000). As for the conceptualization of the Territory, we seek to understand its genesis from Classical Geography, with Ratzel (1914), in the perception that the State exists only from the constitution of its territory, in what Ratzel establishes as its genes. We go through Raffestin (1993), who conceptualizes the territory from the construction of power and by Souza (2000), who builds the concept of mobile territory, important for the analysis of electoral geography and, finally, the territory used, Santos (2005). | pt_BR |
| dc.description.resumo | O artigo apresentado tem por finalidade esclarecer as relações de duas categorias importantes para a construção da Geografia Eleitoral. A categoria Poder dimensiona as relações institucionais e sociais do Estado e suas organizações diante da construção do Estado e do Território, mostrando como as intencionalidades, os signos e símbolos de poder se inter-relacionam para constituírem sua força em determinado espaço, na perspectiva de formar redutos eleitorais. Dessa maneira dialogamos com importantes autores que tratam do tema, como Dahl (2012), Arenth (1985), Foucault (1979), Raffestin (1993) e Souza (2000). Já para a conceituação do Território buscamos o entendimento de sua gênese a partir da Geografia Clássica, com Ratzel (1914), na percepção de que o Estado só existe a partir da constituição de seu território, naquilo que Ratzel estabelece como sendo seu gên, o Boden, o solo. Passamos por Raffestin (1993), que conceitua o território a partir da construção do poder e por Souza (2000), que constrói o conceito de território móvel, importante para a analise da Geografia eleitoral e, por último, o território usado, de Santos (2005). | pt_BR |
