Resumo
The studies of forest communities are important to understand the patterns of species and their relationships with environmental factors. Therefore, statistics are used to allow confidence to the population estimates based on representative samples of these populations. However, it’s essencial analyze more than one parameter to the correct decision on the efficiency of one forest inventory. The objective of this study was to analyze a forest inventory, in a Cerrado sensu stricto in the Central Brazil at four different perspectives, varying the inclusion limit of the sampling and the sampling intensity, seeking to respond to the accuracy, consistency and biases estimates of population parameters, especially in relation to tree density. The results support the assumption that the analysis of the inventory should include a combination of parameters and that the Reference Term, prepared by Oficial Environmental Agency did not considered the environmental heterogeneity and the human influence on the study area, and therefore should not be the only instrument used to validate a licensing process.
