Resumo
For a long time, in our society, the teaching/learning of Portuguese Language has been characterised by decontextualisedgrammar teaching practices.Recognizing this aspect, this paper aims to discuss writing as a social and dialogical practice; and analyzetwo productions of opinion articlegenreand their respective rewritings, produced by students of the 9th grade of primary schools. Our paperis based on Bakhtin's Circle philosophy of language (BAKHTIN, 2011, 2013; SOBRAL, 2009; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017) and onthe positions of writing and rewriting (MENEGASSI, 1998; FERNANDES, 2007; PASSARELLI, 2012). For this, our research is groundedona qualitative interpretiviststudy (ANDRÉ, 2005; BORTONI-RICARDO, 2008; DENZIN; LINCOLN, 2006). This research is partofthemaster's dissertation "Writing and rewriting: the dialogical relations between teaching and learning", which was carried out in a public school in Goiânia, in 2019. The discursive genre studied by students was the opinion article and the theme for the written production was "The practice of bullying and cyberbullying in the school environment". The research included the participation of students from four classes of 9th grade, totaling approximately 120 students and the Portuguese Language teacher of the classes. It is worth mentioning that,for this study, we selected only two articles for delimitation purposes. During our analyses of bothtexts, we observed that the students were able to establish dialogical relations with the first version of the production, making additions, substitutions and displacements.
