Resumo

The objective of this study was to investigate the pollutant matrix for the manufacture of hair conditioners, by combining the treatment systems through reductive degradation/adsorption with assisted Fenton reaction. The procedure involved using 0.20g of metallic iron in the form of steel wool (medium coarse), with effluent in pH 3.0 for reductive degradation/adsorption and for Fenton reaction was used Hydrogen peroxide was used in 220 mg L-¹, for a total period of 18 min. There was a rate of 84.55% for the chemical oxygen demand and 17.93% for turbidity. The techniques employed were useful since the composition is diverse, with a high organic and non-biodegradable load.
