dc.description.abstractFour hundred and seven observations on age at first calving (AFC), 871 on calving interval (CI) and 587 on cow weight at calving (CW) in Nelore cattle, were analyzed by the least squares method to evaluate the effects of some environmental factors on reproductive traits. Year and season of birth affected (P<0.01) AFC. Heifers born from February to April were older at first calving than the ones born during the rest of the year. Year and month of the first calving of the interval and order of the interval showed significant (P<0.01) effects on CI. Toe cows calving from June to December showed smaller intervals than those calving from February to May and the higher the order of the interval, the smaller the calving interval. Year, month and calving number affected (P<0.01) CW. Toe weights increased from the beginning to the end of the year and as the calving number got higher. Sex of calf had no effect on CI and CW. Toe estimated least squares means were 1213 days (39.9 months), 410 days (13.5 months) and 405 kg for AFC, CI and CW, respectively. The estimated repeat abilities of CI and CW were 0.24 ± 0.04an 0.61 ± 0.04, respectively.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoForam analisadas 407 observações de idade ao primeiro parto (IPP) 871 de intervalo de partos (IP) e 587 de peso ao parto (PVP) de vacas da raça Nelore, pira avaliar os efeitos de alguns fatores de ambiente sobre essas características utilizando-se o método dos quadrados mínimos. Verificaram-se efeitos significativos (P<0,0 1) de ano e época de nascimento sobre IPP, tendo as novilhas nascidas de fevereiro a abril apresentado maiores idades do que aquelas nascidas de maio a agosto e de setembro a dezembro. Ano e mês do parto do início do intervalo e ordem do intervalo apresentaram feito significativos (P<0,0 1) e sobre IP, e as vacas paridas de junho a dezembro, apresentaram menores intervalos do que aquelas paridas de fevereiro a maio; quanto maior a ordem menor o intervalo de tempo entre as parições. Ano, mês e ordem do parto influenciaram P<0,0 1) o PVP, e os pesos aumentaram com o passar dos meses do ano e com o aumento da ordem de parto. O sexo do bezerro não apresentou influência significativa (P>0,05) sobre IPP e IP. As médias estimadas foram iguais a 12 13 dias (39,9 meses),410 dias(13,5 meses) e 405kg para IPP, IP e PVP, respectivamente. As estimativas de repetibilidade de IP e PVP, obtidas pela correlação intraclasse de medidas de uma mesma vaca, foram de 0,24± 0,04 e 0,61 ± 0,04, respectivamente.pt_BR
