Estabilidade de agregados de um Neossolo Quartzarênico sob pastagem e mata em Baliza-Go

Resumo

This article is to report scientific experiment conducted by JUNQUEIRA, CORRECHEL, CUSTÓDIO FILHO, SANTOS & JUNQUEIRA (2009). The aim of this study was to evaluate the percentage of water stable aggregates of a entisol along a transect that began in a pasture used for 40 years and completed within a permanent preservation área along the slope in the plan of settlement Oziel Alves Pereira in the town of Baliza-go. in the methodology, were collected samples of undisturbed soil blocks in six points of the transect, to determine the percentage of water stable aggregates and calculate indices dmg (geometric mean diameter) and dmp (average diameter) of the transect points in the pasture and forest. the results show variations in the fractions of agregates in different predominant land uses. the pasture was a greater percentage of aggregates larger than 2 mm, although not significant correlation of this variable with organic matter. however, the percentage of large aggregates or the aggregation indexes dmp and dmg did not differ significantly in systems, showing the fragility of these soils and emphasizing the importance of pedology as a basis for occupation, management and soil conservation. conclusion: according to historical land use and intensity of current use, erosion settled in the area with a tendency to evolve, because although the indices of aggregate stability reveal more than 70% of stable aggregates, this aggregation has not been satisfactory to protect the soil against erosion.
