Abstract

There are considerable change about the transformation of the Federal Centers for Education in Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. The Changes is not simple exchange of names. This article, based on a literature search and consultation to various websites, presents a number of important information sources for the generation of new knowledge and also some useful tools for storage and dissemination of new research. It contribute to the strengthening and growth of these new institutes. Besides reading the work of Campello, Cedón and Kremer, 2000, it was a survey of other information sources and management tools. It is concluded that the libraries have an important role in the dissemination of information and participation in the creation of new tools of knowledge management.
