A mulher entre o passado e o futuro: a transmissão da herança cultural e social da violência contra as mulheres na sociedade contemporânea

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of women in contemporary society, focusing on the challenges to be faced, such as violence, imprisonment and exclusion, in the patriarchal context. As the world undergoes rapid changes and cultural trans-formations, there is a pressing need to examine how these changes affect the way women perceive themselves and are perceived in contemporary society and how they project themselves into the future. The research has the following problem: How does gender violence affect the way women perceive, interpret and transmit the cultural and social heritage of patriarchy? To what extent do the influences of the past, which shape gender violence, impact your visions, values and roles in building the future? The methodology adopted is based on bibliographical rese-arch, covering several sources to support the critical analysis of Hannah Arendt’s thought, carrying out a re-reading of the past to understand the present and reflect on the future of women. It is concluded that the analysis of the role of women in contemporary Brazilian society highlights the urgency of confronting the violence, imprisonment and exclusion that permeate their lives. Freedom in the elaboration of political memory and the reinterpretation of past conflicts pave the way for more effective political action, promoting gender equality and social justice.
