Efeito do ácido indolbutírico no enraizamento de marmelo-do-cerrado

Resumo

Effect of indolebutyric acid on rooting of marmelo-do-cerrado. Alibertia sessilis (marmelo-do-cerrado) is native to the Cerrado biome and belongs to the Rubiaceae family. It has food and medicinal use. It is a little studied species in relation to seedling production. Thus, it is important to evaluate propagation methods such as cutting. The cutting technique has the advantage of obtaining plants identical to the parent plant. In this sense, the effect of different doses of indolebutyric acid (IBA) on the formation marmelo-do-cerrado seedlings was evaluated by semi-wood cuttings. The experiment evaluated six doses of IBA: 0, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 mg L1. A completely randomized design was adopted, using five replications and five cuttings per plot. At 110 days were evaluated: percentage of cuttings with roots; calluses; permanent leaves; sprouts; new leaves; root system length; number of roots per cuttings; fresh and dry mass of shoots and root system. No significant effect was observed between IBA doses for root number; and there was an effect of IBA use on callus and root formation. The use of cuttings is viable for the production of marmelo-do-cerrado seedlings.
