Abstract

This essay discuss the meaning of some Bule-Bule’s chants. Bule-Bule is an improvisator Poet from Reconcavo baiano who belongs also to the Samba de Roda tradition. Written under the perspective of the cultural performances, this essay elucidates some possible relations between traditional popular culture practice and its representation in academic works by folklorists, sociologists and anthropologists.
