Resumo

This article presents a descriptive analysis of a group of Brazilian migrants in Portugal during the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically in the first half of 2021, as well as their employment situation at that time. To this end, it uses primary microdata, collected in loco in Lisbon, through a structured questionnaire with a non-probabilistic convenience sample. Considering the literature presented, the aim is to verify how this group was professionally inserted, according to sociodemographic characteristics with a focus on social markers of difference such as gender and race. Furthermore, it aims to verify whether the groups of Brazilian migrants experienced more conditions of vulnerability than the rest of the Portuguese population in the same period.
