Habitação de interesse social: uma nova perspectiva para o centro de Goiânia

Abstract

This thesis presents the development of an architectural preliminary design for a vertical social housing project (HIS) located in the central area of Goiânia, Brazil, based on principles of environmental sustainability, thermal comfort, universal accessibility, and urban integration. The research begins with a critical analysis of the historical and current context of housing in Brazil and Goiânia, addressing the impacts of the construction industry, challenges of rapid urbanization, and the need for sustainable strategies to promote more equitable cities. The adopted methodology combines literature review, case study analysis, and interpretation of urban planning instruments, especially the Goiânia Master Plan (2022) and Complementary Law No. 379/2024. Based on these parameters, the study defines criteria for site selection, user profile identification, spatial program organization, project guidelines, and architectural concept (parti). The proposal aims to demonstrate how architecture can actively contribute to reducing socio-spatial inequalities by promoting accessible, efficient, and well-integrated housing solutions within the consolidated urban fabric.
