Extração química de sementes de duas variedades da mangaba

Resumo

The mangaba (Hancornia speciosa Gomes) is a genuinely Brazilian fruit. The fruit can be consumed fresh or processed as jellies, sweets, ice cream, juices, among others. The objective of the study was to determine the concentration of ammonium hydroxide in the pulping of mangaba seeds of different varieties grown in the Cerrado and its influence on the emergence and initial development of seedlings. The treatments consisted of fruits of the botanical variety of Hancornia speciosa Gomes, gardneri and cuyabensis. The fruits were macerated and placed in ammonium hydroxide at a concentration of 1.5; 3.0 and 5.0% for 48 hours, to remove excess pulp. Sowing was carried out in Styrofoam trays with Bioplant substrate. The emergence and development index were evaluated in days after sowing, which was collected height data; leaf pair number; and stem diameter. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics with presentation of the indexes of the values. NH4OH in the proportion of 1.5 to 5.0% can be used to optimize the pulping of mangabeira varieties of gardneri and cuyabensis with pathways for the production of seedlings.
