| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this was to study agriculture in the Legal Amazon and its relationship with deforestation based on an analysis of agricultural data from 2010 to 2016. For this, the deforestation of the state of Tocantins was correlated with the area of planting and the agricultural production between the harvests of 2010/2016. In order to achieve this, it selected the state of Tocantins as a spatial clipping for three databases: the PRODES project, from the National Institute of Space Research, to obtain the values of deforestation in the region; the data of the National Supply Company - Conab, aiming to measure the production of grains; and the basis of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Tocantins, regarding the area planted in the period in question. Secondary data were obtained in September 2017. The results showed how important technology is in the production of grains in the Tocantins region, from the 2010 harvest. This is because, the increase registered in the last decades did not have influence of the deforestation of the studied region, but by the technological insertion of grain producers. | |
| dc.description.resumo | O objetivo deste foi estudar a agricultura na Amazônia Legal e sua relação com o desmatamento a partir de uma análise de dados agropecuários de 2010 a 2016. Para tal, se correlacionou o desmatamento do estado do Tocantins com a área de plantio e a produção agrícola entre as safras de 2010/2016. Para a realização deste, foi selecionado o estado do Tocantins como recorte espacial para três bases de dados: o projeto PRODES, do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, para obtenção dos valores de desmatamento da região; os dados da Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento - Conab, visando mensurar a produção de grãos; e a base da Secretaria do Desenvolvimento da Agricultura e Pecuária do Tocantins, no que tange à área plantada no período em questão. A obtenção dos dados secundários foi realizada no mês de setembro de 2017. Os resultados demonstraram o quanto a tecnologia é importante na produção de grãos na região do Tocantins, a partir da safra de 2010. Isso porque, o aumento registrado nas últimas décadas não teve influência do desmatamento da região estudada, mas pela inserção tecnológica dos produtores de grãos. | |
