Resumo

The aim of this study was to recommend a non-destructive method for determining leaf area of the pequizeiro, given the shortage of agronomic studies despite this fruitful. The leaf area was estimated by the methods of light intensity (AFLux), rib length (AFN) and leaf area integrator (AFP) adopted as the standard. The comparison of the results was based on the relative error (ER%), the root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE) and the concordance index "d" Willmott. There was an overestimation of leaf area compared to standard method (AFP = 26,265.16 cm2) by AFLux method (119,882.50 cm2) and an underestimation by the AFN method (4,947.86m²), which showed indices "d" equal to 0.27 and 0.54, respectively. Compared to standard method indirect methods evaluated in this study were not efficient to estimate the leaf area of the pequizeiro.
