Discussões sobre resistências femininas e rupturas da estrutura capitalista na formação docente em Ciências/Química

Abstract

The capitalist system is a fundamental part of the structure of modern society, and its racist, sexist and chauvinist consequences are widely noticeable. Using elements of participatory research, we developed the research within the scope of a discipline in a Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education. Our objective for this investigation was to examine, understand and characterize the process of training students in the elaboration of one of the discipline’s activities, especially with regard to the knowledge and reflections involved in addressing gender issues and the socioeconomic model. The data were collected in audio and video and resulted in 330 discourse turns that were analyzed using Content Analysis. Our results demonstrate that when discussing gender, race and class issues in the training of Science/Chemistry teachers, informality in the discourse is used as a mechanism to distance Sciences from social issues. Our results also show that it was possible to discuss from feminist perspectives, with evidence of the consequences of capitalism and the relevance of discussing the resistance made in the current mode of production to break with the homogenizing discourse in Teaching and Production of S&T.
