A single-step O-glycosylation of azidothymidine in bioreactor catalysed by filamentous fungi

Resumo

The glycosylation of azidothymidine by Cunninghamella echinulata ATCC 9245 in a single step was achieved using whole cells in a stirred tank bioreactor (STR). Reaction conditions of 50 mg·mL−1 of 1 in PDSM medium at 28 °C for 168 h. After extraction with ethyl acetate and purification the derivative was identified with 3′-azido-3′-deoxythymidine 5′-O-α-d-glucopyranoside by Ultrahigh Resolution Mass Spectrometry and 1H, 13C, HSQC/HMBC.
