Taxonomia e diversidade do gênero Senna Mill. (Leguminosae, Caesalpinioideae, Cassieae) no estado de Goiás, Brasil

Abstract

This study is a taxonomic study on species of the genus Senna found in the state of Goiás. Twenty-fi ve species, 4 subspecies and 22 varieties were found. Senna pilifera var. tubata, S. silvestris var. guaranitica, S. splendida var. splendida and S. splendida var. gloriosa are recorded for the fi rst time in the state of Goiás, while S. latifolia and S. spinescens, although cited for Goiás, were excluded from this study because their distributions are consistent with the current limits of the State of Tocantins. Key to identifi cation, descriptions, illustrations, and comments on morphological relations, ecology and geographic distribution of taxa are presented.
