Ficções Hongkongoianas: divagações artísticas em contexto global

Abstract

This work is an Art-based Research in which I explore my artistic process from its conception to the current stage of development, as well as my experience in the Visual Arts bachelor’s program at UFG. Using the writings of Fayga Ostrower and the filmography of Wong Kar-Wai as theoretical nd visual references, I research multiculturalism in Goiânia and in Kar-Wai's Hong Kong. Subsequently, I draw a parallel between the cinematic visual reference and the materiality of Gouache in a series of paintings present in my sketchbook that seek to represent the daily life of a young man in a multicultural fictional metropolis.
