Análise da determinação granulométrica de um latossolo por dois métodos: densímetro e granulômetro a laser

Resumo

Tropical soils have typical characteristics that should be analysed to ensure the correct use of the same. The granulometry of tropical soil is an aspect that can vary depending on the degree of soil weathering, mineralogical properties and transport conditions. In addition, notice the variation of the granulometric curve with a particle size analysis applied. In this study, will be compared the sedimentation test, adopted by the Brazilian standard, and the laser granulometer test, applied in a tropical soil. The results presented the granulometric analysis of the two methods, in three distinct depths, thus showing, an influence of the degree of soil weathering and a presence of macro structure, as well as a characterization of the analyzed soil. Thus, the study concludes that the granulometric composition is influenced by the degree of weathering, and it can be verified that the use of the laser granulometer causes soil disaggregation differently from the conventional test.
