Heróis negros, histórias rubro negras: uma coleção que celebra a vida de figuras negras importantes para o Atlético Clube Goianiense

Abstract

This work aims to develop illustrated prints to be applied to a collection of products that celebrate the lives of Black individuals considered heroes in the history of Atlético Clube Goianiense, focusing on a time frame between the 1970s and 2000s, thus using graphic design as a tool to convey Black representation. Throughout the project, research was conducted on topics such as the relationship between design and football, Black representation in Brazilian football, the history of Atlético Goianiense, its idols, and Black figures important to the club. Graphic materials addressing the theme of Black representation were also analyzed, along with visual productions created by the Goianiense club. These served as the foundation for the creation of the items featured in the final collection that are t-shirts, mugs, posters, and buttons which carry the conceptual value of celebrating the stories of true Black heroes of Atlético Clube Goianiense.
