Resumo
This work presents an analysis of the journalistic coverage broadcasted by radio CBN
Anhangüera during the days of October 1º and 29 of 2006, dates, respectively, of the primary
and general election votings, focusing the candidacies to the majority positions in the State of
Goiás. The collection of the material was made from CBN Anhangüera broadcast writings in
the above cited days, and trough interviews carried out with two professionals, who had
worked in the radio station at the time. After an thorough study of the collected material, a
hypothesis was launched: Did the spread of information benefit or harm the candidates during
the journalistic coverage carried by Radio CBN Anhangüera in the 2006 elections in The
Goiás State? This hypothesis was not completely proven, but this study demonstrates
unethical behavior, information omission, and demonstrations of intimacy to specific
candidates. However, it was not possible to conclude if these demonstrations happened due to
the network commands or to the journalist own conduct. The work concluded that the
journalistic content during the coverage was limited to the predominance of service
journalism, and presents a new hypotheses that aims to explain the causes of this
predominance of service rendering in the of the CBN Anhangüera programming.
