Os delineamentos de uma pesquisa sobre a leitura de contos em L2

Abstract

Inthis paper we show the construction of a research study that resulted in a master’s thesis entitled “The reading of short stories and the teaching of English: the contacts/dialogues between the mother tongue and culture (L1/C1) and the target language and culture (L2/C2)”. The study has astheoretical basis the ethnographic case study, the relation between language and culture, the approachthat considers the reader’s response,and the model of cultural domainsproposed by Spradley (1980). Inthis article weshow the way that the research was organized and the way that the data analysis was undertaken.
