Resumo

This article analyzes the development of Information Literacy (IL) at IFB Campus Gama, highlighting the role of the library as a support and learning space that is essential for the academic and professional success of students. Focusing on the practical characteristics of scientific and technological research and integration with the community, the library promotes actions that encompass the levels and modalities of education. The research seeks to answer how the library develops and promotes IL, aiming to investigate its practices, strategies and challenges, analyzing the effectiveness of its activities. Through a qualitative approach and descriptive research, based on documentary analysis and bibliographic review, the study highlights the need to foster skills such as search, evaluation and ethical use of information. The services analyzed include access to databases, standardization of works and selective dissemination of information, promoting skills that meet the four cores of IL. However, the need to include ethical and communicational aspects for a more complete development is identified. The research shows that strengthening LI at IFB Campus Gama is essential not only for academic performance, but also to enable students to face everyday informational challenges. The library, by acting as a facilitator in the learning and innovation process, reaffirms its dynamic and accessible role, contributing to the comprehensive education and excellence of its users.
