Resumo
This article discusses the way in which nature and, specifically, the
region comprising the Meia Ponte River, were addressed in official
planning documents the construction of the city of Goiania, in the
period of the New State. Furthermore, we indicate some of the
consequences of policies and practices carried out during the course
of the history of the city.
