Resumo
The present study aimed comparing the models Storm Water
Management Model (SWMM) and the Engineering Center‐Hydrologic Modeling
System (HEC‐HMS) to simulate the process of runoff from a design rainfall. There so,
the chosen place to the case studies was the watershed of Samambaia streamlet,
located in Goiânia ‐ GO. For comparison of the simulation methods were considered
two assumptions: the sub‐divided in five subcatchments and the single catchment.
This paper presents the comparison of the results of the modeling of runoff for the
two models, as well, some considerations about the utilization of two hydrologic
models.
