Concepções de docentes acerca das práticas pedagógicas na educação de jovens e adultos: um estudo de caso sobre o ensino de ciências da natureza

Resumo
Based on the importance of education aimed at young people and adults who did not
have access to education at their own age, this work was based on understanding the pedagogical
concepts that surround the practices of teachers who currently work in this modality with regard to
the teaching of Nature Sciences. In line with what we propose as an object of study, we classify
our research as qualitative, configured as exploratory. Furthermore, we used the case study, with
the intention of collecting data to be observed and analyzed from the contributions of the
emancipatory and transforming pedagogy of our theoretical reference Paulo Freire (1979, 1989,
1996, 2001a, 2001b, 2005) and the assumptions of Vygotsky's cultural-historical perspective
(2001, 2010). Therefore, from the contributions of the interviews and the light of the authors who
based the analyzes carried out, the importance of adequate teacher training in order to meet the
needs of students who arrive discredited in this teaching modality, as well as the importance of
teaching of Natural Sciences in the critical and social formation of students.
