| dc.description.abstract | The recent political and electoral advan ce of the extreme right and its authorita rian perspective puts liberal democracy at risk just after the period of its greatest development and expansion. Beyond a merely conjunctural phenomenon, in my evaluation, the crisis of liberal de mocracy is part of deep changes in the social order of capital itself, which exa cerbates the class exclusivism of the bourgeois state and strengthens the au thoritarian and fascist elements contai ned within it. From the historical review of its trajectory, I will seek to discuss the evolution, the limits and the contradic tions of liberal democracy. | |
| dc.description.resumo | O recente avanço político e eleitoral da extrema-direita e de sua perspectiva autoritária coloca em risco a democracia liberal justamente após o período de seu maior desenvolvimento e expansão. Para além de um fenômeno meramente conjuntural, em nossa avaliação a crise da democracia liberal é parte de profundas mudanças na própria ordem social do capital, que exacerba o exclusivismo de classe do Estado burguês e fortalece os elementos autoritários e fascistas contidos em seu interior. A partir do resgate histórico de sua trajetória, procuraremos discutir a evolução, os limites e as contradições da democracia liberal.
