Espécies de culicidae de Goiânia-Goiás-Brasil

Resumo

Results of weekly captures of mosquitos (Diptera: Culicidae) carried out in Goiânia from January to December 1992 are presented. 11.323 Samples distributed in 14 genders and 52 species were registered. Culex (Culex) dolosas, Aedes (Ochlerotaíus) scapularis, Aedes (Ochlerotatus) serratus e Psorophora (Janthinosoma) ferox were the most frequent species found. Species of epidemiological importance such as Aedomyia (Aedomyia) squamipennis, Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) albiíarsis, Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) oswaldoi, Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) strodei, Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) triannulatus, Coquillettidia (Rhynchotaenia)'juxtamansonia Culex (Culex) quinquefasciatus, Haemagogus (Conopostegus) leucocelaenus, Haemagogus (Haemagogus) capricornii e Sabethes (Sabethoides) chloropterus were also captured. For the culicidae capture the Castro capturer and the Shannon and CDC traps were used. The mosquitos were obtained in houses, by the use of human bait in the soil and platform, using animal baits, in bird shelters and hog-sties. 329 Samples were registered in the houses, 6.045 in human baits, 822 in birds, 41 in dogs, 27 in pigs, 2.114 in bird shelters, 11 in hog-sty, 1.724 in the Shannon trap, 139 in the CDC and 71 in an entomology net. The registration of species bearing epidemiological importance nearby Goiânia downtown indicates the potential risk of transmission of different endemic diseases in Goiás State by these insects.
